The steamboat "Frank McHarry" is shown at a ferry slip. It was built in New Albany, Indiana in 1867 for Captain Frank McHarry who ran ferry trade from New Albany to Portland.

The damage to the Olden Street School in New Albany, Indiana by the the1917 tornado. Notably, Mamie Starks, a teacher at the school saved several children after freeing herself from the rubble of the destroyed school. Three people were killed there.
